Scotoma Mapping Tool

Experimental browser-based tool to map visual blind spots (scotomas) using dynamic noise patterns. Version 1.0 05/05/2026 By Dario Giannessi original IDEA

Why

This project was created to explore a simple, accessible way to visualize and track perceived blind spots over time.

How it works

  • Animated noise stimulates visual perception
  • Users click where distortions or missing areas are perceived
  • Data can be exported (JSON + PNG heatmap)

  • Supporting discussions with eye specialists
