Tools that don't support the data format

The astronomer wants to use a program to analyze or visualize his/her data. The program does not currently support the data format, but supports other formats commonly used in Astronomy (e.g FITS).

The astronomer converts the data to a format supported by the program and, if required, results from the program are converted back to the data format.
