/posts/ had 4 rows above the first year section:
MASTHEAD KICKER: Every piece, in order
MASTHEAD TITLE: (huge italic 'Writing' H1)
MASTHEAD DATELINE: 77 entries · 3 years · 39 tags
CHIP ROW: [security⁴¹] [homelab³²] [ai³⁰] ...
The huge 'Writing' title was redundant with the URL (/posts/) and the
active nav label (Dispatches). The kicker was explaining the obvious.
Dateline + chip row were fine but stacked apart.
Now a single compact .archive-intro block:
- sr-only H1 for a11y
- One mono meta line: '77 PIECES · 3 YEARS · 39 TAGS'
- Filter chips right below, centered
Saves ~200px. The first year divider ('2026') is now the visual
anchor of the page — which matches the broadsheet rhythm everywhere
else.

Drops the huge 'Writing' title + kicker + dateline. Replaces with a single compact mono stats line + chip filter row. Saves ~200px; the year dividers become the visual anchors.
