Description
Upgrade the Hono MCP starter to
mcp-handler2, the split MCP TypeScript SDK v2 packages, Zod 4, and Node.js 20+. The route now usesregisterToolwith strict input/output schemas, tool annotations, structured output, and the exact stateless/mcpendpoint. It also removes the deprecated duration option and old HTTP+SSE-era dependencies.Adds an SDK v2 sample client and refreshes the README with current protocol compatibility and local testing instructions.
Validation
pnpm checkadd(2, 3)with structured result{ result: 5 }Type of Change
