Hi!

First, thanks @midzelis for you PR.

@onlymejosh there is no reason this can't be merged actually. It's that I'm NOT a JS programmer, I made this to solve a problem to integrate NUT on Pimatic, the software I started to use as domotic. Today I don't use Pimatic anymore, nor NUT because the communication module of my UPS is broken and I did my own module using esp8266 to send data to an influxdb. I can't even test this software.

So we have this module that is basically unmaintained. I would like to give him other owner but the problem I see here is that it's used mainly from a package uploaded to npmjs, and I don't want to be another guy that gives the project to other maintainer and this one removes it from npmjs or something worst.

I've been thinking about send an email to NUT-DEV mailing-list. Maybe the NUT project would want to take care of it.
