ntpdate is deprecated and shouldn't be used anymore. I'd even suggest to add a pkg.purged for ntpdate to init.sls instead. For more info: https://support.ntp.org/bin/view/Dev/DeprecatingNtpdate |

On RHEL7 the ntpdate service has a flag to set the hardware clock after setting the date. I added support for changing that to ntp.ng.
