What

Refreshes the ADP overview positioning for GA and bundles a set of related docs cleanups (terminology, navigation/Next steps, prerequisites, link text, and one page retitle) across 40 pages. No feature-scope/accuracy claims were changed here — those are tracked separately.

Overview positioning (get-started/adp-overview)

  • New lede built around the agent governance gap: enterprises governed their human workforce for decades but never built equivalent governance for agents.
  • Positions ADP as the governed layer between your agents and your data (identity, mediated tool/data access, recorded-and-replayable actions).
  • Adds a neutral open-standards / no-lock-in beat (MCP, OAuth, OpenTelemetry, Kafka protocol). No competitor mentions.
  • Elevates the Governance Dashboard as the headline differentiator (kept general).
  • Builds on docs: archive stale AI Gateway pages and align overview positioning #60; does not reintroduce removed overclaims (routing/failover, compliance guarantees).

Governance Dashboard Overview (control/dashboard/overview)

  • Intro enrichment with flux-safe value framing; verified procedural detail unchanged.

Terminology & accuracy

  • Consistent "agent registry" and "catalog" wording (create-agent, mcp-overview, quickstart).
  • Dropped the hardcoded "36 managed MCP server types" count in favor of durable category-based wording; the catalog page remains the authoritative list.
  • "deep dive" → "setup guide" across the managed catalog (column header, link text, prose) and references.

Navigation & Next steps

  • Trimmed all Related topics / Next steps sections to ≤3 links; renamed every "Related topics" → "Next steps" (no page had both); fixed a bullet that carried trailing prose.
  • For oauth-providers, replaced six individual managed-server links with the single Managed catalog link (shorter and complete).
  • Reformatted the guardrails overview "Where to go next" → "Next steps" with clean bare-link bullets.
  • Link text now reflects current page titles: fixed stale former-title links (gateway overview, both permissions pages, observability concepts). Inline "Managed catalog" wording kept; Next steps links to the catalog use its page title.

Prerequisites

  • Removed the generic "Access to the Agentic Data Plane / Redpanda ADP" prerequisite from pages whose readers are already in ADP.
  • Reworded the transcripts prerequisite to lead with the required permission instead of "access to the Transcripts view".
  • Specific role/permission prerequisites (quickstart, dashboard) left intact.

Page retitle

  • gateway/connect-agent: "Connect Your Agent" → "Connect Your App to AI Gateway". This page is about pointing your own application/code at the LLM proxy (SDKs, OIDC, rpk ai) — a different workflow from the Build Agents declarative-agent flow, and the old title invited confusion. AI Gateway terminology is retained (the concept is staying). Filename unchanged; broader gateway rewording is out of scope.

Reframe the ADP overview around governance infrastructure: lead with the
agent governance gap, position ADP as the governed layer between agents
and data (identity, mediated access, recorded actions), and add a neutral
open-standards/no-lock-in beat (MCP, OAuth, OpenTelemetry, Kafka protocol).
Elevate the Governance Dashboard as the headline differentiator.

Enrich the Governance Dashboard Overview intro with flux-safe value
framing, leaving the verified procedural detail unchanged.

Use 'agent registry list' and 'catalog'/'full list' consistently across
the agent creation, MCP overview, and quickstart pages.

Replace 'the 36 managed MCP server types' with durable wording so the
count doesn't drift as the catalog grows. The managed-catalog page itself
remains the authoritative enumeration; mcp-overview now describes the
catalog by category breadth.

Use 'Setup guide' consistently in the managed catalog column header, link
text, and prose references, plus create-server.adoc and jira.adoc. The
linked per-server pages cover auth and configuration setup, so 'setup
guide' is clearer than the informal 'deep dive'.

Trim Related topics/Next steps sections to no more than 3 links, rename
all 'Related topics' headings to 'Next steps' (no page had both), and fix
a bullet that carried trailing prose after the xref. For oauth-providers,
replace the six individual managed-server links with the Managed catalog
link so the list is both shorter and complete.

Remove the generic 'Access to the Agentic Data Plane / Redpanda ADP'
prerequisite bullet from pages whose readers are already in ADP, and
reword the transcripts prerequisite to lead with the required permission
rather than 'access to the Transcripts view'. Specific role and
permission prerequisites (quickstart, dashboard) are unchanged.

…vider'

The page documents pointing your own application/code at an LLM provider's
proxy URL (SDKs, OIDC, rpk ai), which is distinct from building declarative
agents in the Build Agents section. The old title invited confusion with
that flow. Retitle the page and nav entry, refresh the intro/description
away from 'AI Gateway' branding, and update all xref link text. Filename
and the broader gateway rewording are left to the AI Gateway de-emphasis PR.

… Your App to AI Gateway'

AI Gateway is staying as a concept (not yet surfaced in the UI, but the
concept persists), so restore the AI Gateway wording in the intro and
description and set the title to 'Connect Your App to AI Gateway'. Updates
the nav entry and all xref link text to match.

…s Next steps

Update stale former-title link text to the current page titles
(gateway/overview, both permissions pages, monitor/concepts), and use the
managed-catalog page title in Next steps links while keeping the concise
'Managed catalog' text in inline prose. Rename the guardrails overview
'Where to go next' section to 'Next steps' with clean bare-link bullets.
