I think it would be wise to update Cython as well, as we do periodically to benefit from bug fixes and ensure we're not behind on changes.

Just pushed all Python deps update, waiting for tests results.

Major changes: Griffe updated to 2 and pytest to 9, all working well locally as far as I've tested them
