It's often helpful to be able to take the tags from an item and add them to a new item in another editor. This seems like the most sensible place to put it but let me know.
It will copy tags that are not OSM id tags and don't have values over 255 characters (those are often left over from custom challenge creation).
I got this half running on Windows so I could verify my change but you absolutely do not want the hacks that are those changes.
