Each soundset is individually adjusted to match the sound engine and response characteristics of the corresponding model.
The original acoustic accordion Accordiola Karmen Super uses three bass registers for the left-hand (bass side).
To preserve authentic acoustic playing logic on Roland digital accordions, the bass registers are mapped as follows:
- Bass register buttons 3 to 6 are used
- These represent the three original acoustic bass registers
- Other bass register buttons are intentionally left unused or unchanged
This approach maintains the realistic limitation and playing logic of the acoustic instrument rather than using the full extended digital register range.
The right-hand (treble) keyboard contains 7 treble registers, carefully configured to replicate the tonal character of the real Accordiola Karmen Super.
The treble configuration:
- Reflects the acoustic register structure
- Preserves natural tonal transitions
- Provides balanced projection across dynamic levels
The soundset is suitable for multiple accordion genres, including:
- Folk
- Jazz
- Musette
- Traditional and contemporary accordion repertoire
- Acoustic accordion emulation
- Warm, balanced reed structure
- Clear articulation
- Natural dynamic response
- Optimized for solo and ensemble performance
- Copy the appropriate soundset file to a USB flash drive.
- Insert the USB drive into your Roland accordion.

Installation is also possible via computer connection:
- Connect your Roland FR-4x or FR-8x to a PC or Mac using a USB cable.
- Launch Roland Editor for FR-4x / FR-8x.
- Import the corresponding soundset file.
- Transfer the soundset to the instrument.
- Store it in user memory.
Refer to official Roland documentation for detailed instructions regarding USB mode and editor configuration.
- Developed through independent testing and practical performance evaluation.
- Final sound perception may vary depending on amplification system, speakers, headphones, and playing technique.
- Users may fine-tune global parameters to match personal performance preferences.
