The descent field lands in command v0.8.0 — an argument that lowers an operation's ceiling, with its reason carried in the declaration. This package does not use it yet; capping the atom at ^0.7 is what stops anything downstream from resolving a version that does. Widening is additive: nothing here changes behaviour, and the suite runs against the new atom.
