A hands-on workshop for DNV's Cloud Infrastructure team on building with GitHub Copilot and AI Agents.
This workshop teaches GitHub Copilot and AI Agent patterns to DNV's GSS IT Cloud Infrastructure team. Participants will learn practical workflows, safety guardrails, and build working agents aligned to DNV's infrastructure and documentation needs.
Format: Two ~4-hour sessions on separate days Dates: May 19 and May 26, 2026 Time: 14:00–18:00 Norway time Delivery: Remote (Teams)
- Copilot Fundamentals — How to use GitHub Copilot effectively in VS Code
- Agent Basics — What agents are, how they think, and when to use them
- Building Agents — Hands-on labs creating agents for real DNV scenarios
- Safety & Guardrails — Responsible AI usage and protecting sensitive data
- Hands-On Labs — Five progressive labs from "Hello, Copilot" to advanced patterns

We take responsible AI seriously. Before the workshop, review:
- ✅ Do use: Public docs, internal patterns you own, synthetic data, approved use cases
- ❌ Don't use: Customer data, secrets, sensitive infrastructure configs, unvetted sources
⚠️ Always: Verify agent outputs, cite sources, avoid over-trusting AI
Safety guardrails and responsible use guidelines will be covered in Session 1 (M1 briefing).
- During the workshop: Facilitators will help in Teams chat / breakout rooms
- Before the workshop: Email Jan Egil Ring or Haflidi Fridthjofsson
- After the workshop: See post-workshop next steps
