DENT TWG to meet every alternate Thursday starting 2/25/21
• Testing repo renamed:
○ Testing repo: https://github.com/dentproject/testing
○ Testing wiki: https://github.com/dentproject/testing/wiki
○ Testing docs: https://github.com/isgmano/testing/tree/master/docs
• Can we get a VM/Docker for DENT OS?
○ Nothing available at the moment
○ Switchdev simulation may be a possibility to verify some protocol functionality
○ How do member labs simulate issues in member labs for SIT issue
○ Virtual test bed is not ideal as we need ASIC to get actual tests, may be for code development
• Upstreaming feature test infra
○ Chetan walked through a demo of the automation frame work and demo of what Amazon uses in the last meeting (2/11)
○ Waiting for a date for upstreaming the code
○ Chetan and Sandeep to follow up
○ Waiting on legal approval
• Marvell has test infra common to all project and used for DENT
○ PR is open for the test cases under testing repo
○ Its GPL licensed and ok to keep it there
○ Need a review to onboard into framework (UNH on-boarding?)
• Vishal to presented DENT certification plan to TWG
○ Talked about what Aviz team is doing for SONiC
○ Proposal to replicate similar test package for DENT
○ Next action to prepare formal proposal to present in TSC meeting for broader acceptance
• Mano/Vishal to present the BOM for SIT setup(10mins)
○ See tentative BOM below
○ Vishal to reach out to DNI/Accton for switches
○ This is the initial configuration but we are open to have all members contributing to the SIT
○ Stas will check with Marvell
• Community test bed to have Amazon boards or general availability ones?
• Wistron has physical switches integrating with Marvell switchdev driver. Ok to contribute once integration is done.
• Recommendation from TWG:
○ Can we start small, may be one device.
• Keysight can contribute open traffic generator API
○ This is portable across test platform
