This folder contains R codes for replicating the main results of the paper titled “Tariff Quota Administration in China's Grain Markets: An Empirical Assessment” by B. Chen, N. Villoria, and X. Tian (2019). The paper is published at Agricultural Economics. Link here.
For replicating the paper, the most efficient way is to download all the files at once and then run the codes. Specifically, you can follow the steps below to do the replications:
Step 1. Click on the green button "Clone or download", and then select "Download ZIP";
Step 2. Unzip the downloaded zipped file;
Step 3. Go to the “Codes” folder and then open the “do.r” file using the R software. If you do not have one, you need to install R (with R studio for better experience) into your computer.
Step 4. Simply run all the codes in the "do.r" file. Some figures will be automatically generated under the “Codes” folder. The regression results will also appear in the R console, though they are not saved as unique files.
