Description of the assignment problems 📃

• Problem 1

We analyze how well the Geometric and the Poisson distributions fit the number of goals scored by the home team in a set of football matches.

• Problem 2

We simulate random samples from the Gamma distribution and perform some analyses of its distribution.

• Problem 3

We fit mixture models to the waiting variable in the faithful dataset.

• Problem 4

Fiiting four regression models consists of target variable with different pdfs. Also, calculating the Bayesian Information Criterion for each model. (Dataset)

Problem 5

We fit linear regression models to the stock prices from the quantmod package.
