- Adds a CI-focused mock for version resolution so pipeline runs do not depend on live version metadata.
- Keeps the branch aligned with the existing CLI behavior while isolating CI from external versioning variability.
- Intended to make checks more deterministic and reduce failures caused by version lookup drift.
