TTM4135 Applied Cryptography and Network Security

This repository contains the practical assignment for the Applied Cryptography and Network Security course at NTNU. The project focuses on breaking four historical ciphers — Caesar, Vigenère, Random Simple Substitution, and a 2×2 Hill cipher — using practical cryptanalysis. Statistical frequency analysis is applied to a custom 29-character alphabet to decrypt texts from English novels.
