I believe MySQL is not the only supported DB for hMailServer. I think using COM API is the safest approach. The hmailserver-change-password plugin is the best example to get started.

I am not sure if this is the way to submit new plugins but i do think some people can benefit from it.
Theres a flaw in the way the plugin gets the users data directory location. It is currently depending on that the user folder always is the first two letters of the user account. I guess someone with more insight into the rainloop project knows how to get this directory location the right way.. :)
