Summary

  • Verifies eight accepted book candidates from BATCH-2026-001 without promoting held or rejected books.
  • Creates nine staging work records, fourteen edition records, thirty author-person candidates, and ten related-source candidates.
  • Separates work identity from print, online, eText, audiobook, translated, and materially revised manifestations.
  • Validates ISBN-10 and ISBN-13 check digits, identifier uniqueness, work-edition links, author backlinks, provenance, access basis, rights status, and staging isolation.
  • Records six discovery-metadata discrepancies instead of silently rewriting the parent batch.
  • Creates no canonical production book, person, source, statement, proposition, ranking, or publication record.

Material corrections found

  • Solving the Bottom Turtle has twelve credited authors; the prior two-author attribution was incorrect.
  • Zero Trust Networks, Second Edition is the four-author February 2024 revision, not a 2021 two-author work.
  • Identity in Modern Applications is by Lee Atchison and dated July 2021.
  • Identity-Native Infrastructure Access Management includes Peter Conrad as a third author.
  • Building Secure and Reliable Systems has six principal authors.
  • The expanded second edition of Solving Identity Management in Modern Applications requires a human work-identity decision.

Decisions

  • Six works: catalogued.
  • Two works: deep-analysis-ready because an exact edition and complete lawful access are documented. Their analysis depth remains catalogued; neither is claimed as deeply analyzed.
  • One related materially revised work: identity-review-required.
  • Zero reviewed candidates, held books, rejected books, or human-approved records.

Rights and limitations

Solving the Bottom Turtle is available under CC BY 4.0. Building Secure and Reliable Systems has complete official public HTML access but no open republication license identified. All other works are limited to publisher metadata, contents, or authorized previews. No complete copyrighted book or large excerpt is stored.

The parent batch contains only eight accepted books, below the template target of approximately 15–25. The batch preserves that limitation rather than filling the quota with weaker or unaccepted books. An Italian edition is verified, but its translator and canonical lang-it vocabulary value remain unresolved. Individual author profiles and current roles remain pending.

Validation

  • Work, edition, person, and related-source schemas: PASS
  • ISBN and duplicate ISBN checks: PASS
  • Duplicate title/author and work-edition conflict checks: PASS
  • Author identity and reciprocal links: PASS
  • Provenance, access-basis, rights, analysis-depth, and staging-leak checks: PASS
  • Repository validation gates: PASS
  • TypeScript and targeted ESLint: PASS
  • Unit tests: 24 passed
  • Whitespace checks: PASS

Dependency

This is a stacked draft PR based on research/discovery-governed-agent-identities-BATCH-2026-001 and depends on draft PR #2, which itself depends on foundation draft PR #1. Retarget after parent merges.

Human review requested

  • Confirm the nine work identities and fourteen edition relationships.
  • Resolve the materially revised Apress work identity.
  • Resolve the Italian translator and language-vocabulary proposal.
  • Confirm author identities before any public person records.
  • Authorize separate exact-edition deep-analysis batches if desired.
