Nice, thanks @khwilson! Not sure if I'm doing it right, but when I bundle exec jekyll serve with this commit, the auto-regeneration that jekyll does seems to delete, eg, the github.css file from assets/css/ and so there is no change in syntax highlighting. I wonder if it's because there are already 'just the docs' css files in there that jekyll tries to protect. Did you manage to run this with the highlighting? And, if so, how? Worth saying that I've no idea what I'm doing with ruby or jekyll (despite using the latter for my own website...).

It definitely works for me locally with bundle exec jekyll build.

Perhaps try running bundle install first? The versions of things can really mess things up in ruby land.

Okay, spent a while fiddling with this and the problem I was having is nothing to do with the changes you've made. When I build the site, I get pages with giant symbols on. Odd because I'm sure I've built the site before. Tried locally, but also using codespaces with the 2.6.4 version of ruby. Anyway, I think this is my issue and we can ignore.

In general, fully support merging this in with eg the github or pastie themes!
