- Ethernet link, getting an IP from DHCP which is viewable on the front panel of the device (under the Ethernet configuration screen), or using a static IP. Use port `7020` for communication. The protocol (SCPI) is identical to serial communication.

A blank value for the `IPADDR` macro will cause the IOC to communicate over serial, otherwise it will communicate over Ethernet.
