How do prosumers operate?

When prosumers have multiple modes of operation, they should be able to expose some detail of that to their clients. Keeping this generic may be possible with some kind of data structure describing a schedule of power over time. The prosumer may also need to present ranges of values or alternative schedules from which some controlling client could somehow pick their preference.
