Opening a draft of the community organizers summit page to share a preview with the PYOWG and finalize the structure.

TODO

  • Decide if we need to rename to Community Activities page and relocate the page to another section instead of "Summits"
  • Add the schedule link
  • Link to the PyLadies page

This is going to be such a wonderful event! Happy to take a proper read once you've settled on more details. In the meantime, since the rest of the site is mostly non-US spelling, I wonder if we should align in this one as well (I can make the suggestions at the end, it is more of a question right now) 🤗

@hypha We've finalized the text and content, and we're just waiting for the schedule and the PyLadies page to be finalized so we can add the appropriate links.

If you have any suggestions on the wording or notice any US vs UK spelling differences, we'd really appreciate your input, as I'm not very familiar with the lexical differences myself. 😊

It's so nice to see the page growing! Thanks George! Some minor suggestions below.

And as I messaged on discord, we could change all organiz* to organis* (but ofc the filenames could stay the same so they don't break). I already left the suggestion for programme (since it's only two occurrences).

In essence, the Community Organizers Summit is a crucial component of EuroPython, bringing together organizers from across the Python ecosystem to connect, learn from one another, and collaborate on strengthening their communities.

non-US spelling, also added the md for links because it otherwise wouldn't be clickable.

![Community organizers networking during the Community Organizers Lunch in EuroPython 2025](./community-organizers-lunch.jpg)

Have you had the pleasure of meeting all organizers from other Python communities and conferences? If not, this is an exceptional opportunity to expand your network and engage with passionate individuals dedicated to nurturing Python events and communities. By connecting with each other, we can create more chances for learning, networking, and personal growth through Python.

Hmmm I think the lunch wording could be adjusted a bit. It worked well as a first networking point, but now that many organisers will have spent the morning together at the summit, it feels slightly out of place. Maybe it could be framed more as a continuation of the summit over lunch, while still making it clear that organisers who couldn’t attend the summit are very welcome to join.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to learn, develop, and contribute to something greater!

The date is a bit hard to scan. How about Wednesday to Friday, 15-17 July, or 15-17 July (Wednesday - Friday), basically anything that groups the days together and the dates together so it’s easier to read at a glance

A series of initiatives that foster connections, learning, and growth for underrepresented groups in Python.

Through talks, workshops, and networking opportunities, these events empower diverse communities within the ecosystem, promoting continuous progress and equitable representation.

ooof these are quite big words 😄 okay with it, but not sure if we want to make it a bit more grounded

community-organizers-summit is a new directory, so it's safe to rename it and the files inside it because those links don't exist yet on prod?
