@aalkin @ktf, codex decoupled requesting TFN/TFF from the metadata-sending device when the metadata is detected,
but now the aod-writer gets stuck waiting for the input.

Since in analysis, when process functions are enabled or disabled, topology may change, we have to do something similar to injectServiceDevices each time the workflow is updated. Including re-adding AOD writer, so you'll need to make similar changes there as well.

Thanks @aalkin ! The modification of the injectServiceDevices actually comes from Giulios #15553 (cherri-picked here as 1st three commits).
I fed your comment to codex, which proposed the patch below, but it still does not solve the problem of aod-writer waiting for the input.

I am not sure I understand the logic here. Wouldn't it be simpler to remove the AMD origin from automated subscription of the writer and only if the writer is actually added - on account of having AODs - update it with AMD input as well?
