Why the game is blurry

Current problems with the visual sharpness of the game are related to the improper application surface size.

It's possible to re-scale it to proper sizes, with just 2-4 lines of code, and every graphical asset becomes 100% sharp, aside from fonts (they also become sharp, but they are a bit borken because of porting from gm1) but:

  • recolour shaders break - weird pink colour artifacts start to appear. I've rarely saw these before, not sure why they appear.
  • I guess because of the improper original room sizes and the related code, pixel perfect placement of elements is no longer happening.
    • i.e. you draw two rectangles, second as an outline with 1 pixel offset away from the first, they should line up perfectly, no space in between, yet on practice there will be a gap.
    • I assume this is because the game tries to interpret a low-res room on a high-res surface, which confuses it and break pixel perfect placement.

Aside from that, all UI elements stay in their place and nothing breaks too severely.
