Directory Services: The Hidden Wiki

The Truth: "The Hidden Wiki" is not one site. It is a concept. There are dozens of clones, and most of them are scam farms.

  • They list "legit" links for Facebook/DuckDuckGo mixed with "scam" links for "Apple Store 50% Off" or "Hitman".
  • Warning: Never trust a financial service found on a Wiki.

Better Alternatives:

  • Dark.fail: A verified status page for major markets/forums. PGP signed.
  • Tor.taxi: Another reputable directory.

  • Cross-Reference: If you find a link on a Wiki, check if it matches the link on Dark.fail or Dread (the forum). If they are different, the Wiki is lying to you.
  • Scam Lists: Check "scam lists" on Dread before clicking unknown services.
