Tails isn't just an OS; it's a toolbox. It comes pre-installed with everything you need for OpSec.
Core Arsenal:
- Tor Browser: Modified with uBlock Origin and rigorous anti-fingerprinting patches.
- KeePassXC: Offline password manager. Use this to generate 50-character passwords for your market accounts.
- OnionShare: Anonymously share files of any size directly from your computer without a middleman.
- Kleopatra (PGP): Manage your GPG keys graphically.
- MAT (Metadata Anonymisation Toolkit): Right-click any file (image, PDF) and select "Remove Metadata" to scrub GPS tags and author names before uploading.
Circuit Visualization:
Click the onion icon in the top bar to view your current Tor circuit. You can manually request a "New Circuit" if the current one is slow or feels compromised.

- Electrum Wallet: Tails includes Electrum for Bitcoin. It is configured to connect ONLY via Tor.
- MAC Spoofing: Tails randomizes your MAC address (WiFi hardware ID) on every boot, so the coffee shop WiFi doesn't know it's the same laptop as yesterday.
