LinkSync Privacy Policy

LinkSync is an application that allows users to save, share, and organize links through the iOS LinkSync app to the LinkSync Chrome Extension. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how it is used, and your rights as a user.

1. Information We Collect

  • Link Data: URL, title, and timestamp of links you save through the extension.
  • Authentication Data: Your iOS LinkSync account credentials are handled securely via AWS Cognito. No passwords are stored in the iOS App or Chrome extension.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To sync text/links between the Chrome extension and your iOS LinkSync app.
  • To provide a seamless upload experience across devices.

3. How We Share Your Information

  • We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
  • Data is only transmitted to our AWS backend for processing and secure storage.

4. Data Security

  • All data transmission is encrypted via HTTPS.
  • AWS services handle backend storage.
  • The extension stores only minimal temporary data locally; sensitive information is never stored in the browser.

5. Your Choices

  • You can stop using LinkSync at any time.

6. Limitation of Liability

LinkSync makes every effort to keep your data safe and secure. However, we cannot guarantee that the service will always be error-free, uninterrupted, or completely secure. By using LinkSync, you acknowledge and agree that we are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or corrupted data, or any other damages that may result from using the extension or associated services. Users are responsible for backing up their data and maintaining the security of their accounts.
