Tray icon closes if about dialog is closed with ESC

Install the staging branch...

I can't do that. I use the AppImage version and don't know how to install python/pip/venv to install the staging version.

Describe the bug

I'm using the appimage version. I set it to autostart using the --tray parameter.
If I open the About dialog from the tray icon menu and then close it with the ESC key, the app closes and the tray icon dissappears.
