as seen here in the step for grav.. ice wave spazer kill with varia is the logical step.

this is 72 shots between invulnerability to kill the pirates... it's a little slow for hard logic?

I'd say not really. At 3 beams you might expect it to go fast enough so you try it and then find it is slow and go "Oh well". Then work on shooting them faster while you wait.

As a broader issue, time scaling metal pirates isn't the best, in cases without charge or very high damage. IWS at hard I'd expect 2-3 shots per pirate jump, but I can fit in 7 after some practice. Missiles are similar where you optimally kill in 2 jumps.

Also this is not the first time that logic used a Farm strat in the Metal pirates room when a kill strat would not be in hard logic. There is slow kill with Charge+Wave+Heatproof and Charge Spazer kill with Charge+Ice+Spazer.

• Metal Pirate farm strats should not have lower requirements than kill strats
• Metal Pirate heat scaling on slower fights can be tightened. A combat tech breakpoint may need to be added.
