I have tried to install the kate-code on linux mint 22 but failed , seems it doesn't met the dependencies since it still based on qt5 and KDE5, so i think if you can add support to little older tech this will help the plugin since the real power of kate in my opinion is its light weight and compatibility ,,, being suitable to run on low end devices and consuming less resources
