I tried to reproduce the issue when...

• uBO is the only extension.
• uBO uses default lists and settings.
• using a new, unmodified browser profile.

Description

Second time this happens in past few days. All custom code in "My Filters" simply disappears.

A specific URL where the issue occurs.

Steps to Reproduce

No steps. It randomly happens. I pasted my (thankfully backed up) code back into "My Filter", and a few days later it's gone again.

Expected behavior

Nothing. Code should remain in "My Filter".

Can you screen record steps to reproduce the issue?

@stephenhawk8054 no, because the sudden "emptying" of the "My Filters" page happens after anywhere between minutes to a few days, I don't know how long it takes. So far it happened twice. Any logs I can share, happy to do so, but screen recording wouldn't help, as right now it's not happening "immediately". Thanks

Which specific browser are you using?

And to confirm, are you experiencing the issue when using a new browser profile with only uBO and its default settings?

Browser: Brave 1.93.134 (Official Build) (arm64)
Chromium: 151.0.7922.108

I can't know that yet, because it takes potentially several days for the issue to occur, but we'll test it.

Are you installing uBO from the Chrome web store or are you using the Brave-hosted version of uBO which is enabled directly through the Brave settings menu (Settings > Extensions > Manifest V2 extensions)?

@gothic-bum excellent question. I recently noticed I have two versions, have no idea how or why that happened, and deleted one of them, that might explain part or all of this, I had forgotten about that. Now I believe I have the web store version.

Ok. Now I removed it again in the manifest setting, somehow it had come back, and a "remove" button appeared next to the toggle in "manifest", and clicking on that completely remove any version of ublock from my browser. at this point I'm not sure I know what is going on. I didn't know ublock was even removed from the web store. sorry for being quite behind on all this.

Please test again using a new Brave profile with uBO enabled from the Brave settings menu: Settings > Extensions > Manifest V2 extensions

Do not make any modifications to the default settings for uBO or Brave, and do not install any other extensions.

If VERY-LONG-ID was filled with the actual id, this would provide us information about which uBO version you are using.

That id is not from a version uBO I know. So I gather this is from Brave? If so I understand the issue is that you were pasting the filters in one version of uBO, but seeing them gone in another version (different id) of uBO?
