Errors when trying to search lyrics

I'm using 1.0.2 and every time I try to search for lyrics, I get the following error popup:

error sending request for url (https://lrclib.net/api/search?track_name=TITLE&artist_name=ARTIST&album_name=ALBUM&q=)

The In-app LRCLIB tab isn't working either.

The website and API calls are working fine in my actual browser (Firefox).

Now one will come through with lyrics, then two or more will go without. Its like the site is limiting requests.

If you still get this error, you can try updating or reinstalling the app. It worked for me.

Reinstalled, now it works but only once every 7 tries. The website says there's no rate-limiting, but...

Same here, also Publishing new lyrics is not working as well... Seems like an API endpoint issues

Same here as well, I uploaded like 100 lyrics during the last day so I thought I am getting locked out for spam prevention or something.

now it works but only once every 7 tries.

I'm using that as a workaround for now. If you get an error, try again immediately, seems like for me every 5th try or so works.

Edit: Nevermind, it let me upload 3 lyrics like that and now I am staying locked out even after trying 20 times.

Seems to be resolved for me now, I still get the occasional error but 80% of the time it works.

Since approximately 1/3/26, I have been experiencing numerous search issues and upload issues. The Search function works more commonly than the Upload function. For the upload issues, sometimes the error occurs during Request Challenge, sometimes during Solve Challenge and sometimes during Publish Lyrics. If I try the upload at later times or numerous times in a row, it eventually has uploaded (except for 1/8/26). Thanks

I also keep getting challenge failures when publishing. I wonder if it might be related to this.
Edit: As of 1/27/26 (possibly earlier), the search is unusable for me now too. The "DOWNLOAD ALL LYRICS" button shows a success message without downloading anything. The individual search boxes for each track show an error message like OP's. LRCGET's built-in LRCLIB search page fails to find anything intermittently. Monochrome downloads lyrics from Apple Music but ones from LRCLIB either don't get downloaded (sometimes fixed by waiting a while to load them manually in lyrics viewer) or download as Title.null (otherwise normal looking when opened in notepad) which makes me wonder if the API is broken as well. Only manually going to https://lrclib.net/ in my browser works for searching and I don't see a way to upload lyrics from the website.
Edit2: As of 1/30/26 publishing and searching work again; the .null lyric files persist
Edit3: As of 2/3/26, when publishing, challenge succeeds but I get error sending request for url (https://lrclib.net/api/publish); sometimes the built-in LRCLIB search shows a similar error, and the "DOWNLOAD ALL LYRICS" button still fails silently for songs that need to be found manually

Im' also getting error sending request for url (https://lrclib.net/api/get?artist_name="ARTIST"&track_name=TRACKNAME&album_name=ALBUMNAME=293)

Of course ARTIST, TRACKNAME and ALBUMNAME are placeholders, 293 is a number I got in one of the searches.
