Favicon difficult to see in Chrome when in dark mode

The site favicon looks like this when viewed from Chrome in dark mode:

I've shown two tabs above. The left-most is from the TUF website, and the right-most is an example of how another site (in this case GitHub) manages dark mode for it's favicon.

This is what it looks like from macOS Safari:

@Dindihub - not sure. I experimented a bit last fall, but couldn't find a solution. It might be worth determining why the GH favicon seems to be treated differently. Possibly the file format. If so, then we'd need a TUF favicon in a new format.

GitHub serves different favicons for light and dark mode. I assume they use the prefers-color-scheme media query.

@lukpueh - if you prefer two icons, one for each light/dark mode, let me know. I've added this requirement to the list of Docsy improvements for favicons (google/docsy#2357).
