    Building AQBURHAN, an Islamic knowledge search engine at aqthevision.ai/search. We index verified hadith alongside Quran,
    peer-reviewed research, and government data to provide truthful answers with source attribution. Hadith data will be stored in our
    brain database and surfaced when users ask Islamic questions. Only authenticated collections (Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi,
    Nasai, Ibn Majah).

  • API rate limits:

    • Maximum requests per second: 1
    • Maximum requests per day: 5,000

  • Is your use case better served by having an offline dump of hadith data or programmatic API access?
    Offline dump preferred for initial bulk ingestion into our database. API access useful for periodic updates. We'd use both if
    available.

  • What are the languages in which would you like hadith data?
    English (primary), Arabic (original text), French, Turkish, Urdu

  • What programming language will your API client be in?
    Node.js (JavaScript)

Jazakallahu khayran for raising this. You've said what many of us have been thinking.

I'm the founder of AQTHEVISION (aqthevision.ai). We're building AQBURHAN — an Islamic knowledge search engine backed by 321,000+
verified nodes including Quran word-by-word analysis, classical tafsir (Ibn Kathir, Al-Tabari, Al-Qurtubi, As-Sa'di), and
government/peer-reviewed research.

I fully support option 2 and I'm ready to build it.

We already have:

• Production PostgreSQL database (50GB capacity, Railway Pro)
• Universal seeder engine that can ingest and serve any structured data
• Quran data live and searchable (6,236 ayat + 36,000+ word-by-word analysis)
• Infrastructure to host a free public API with no token restrictions

I'm committed to building a free, open Hadith API for the ummah — all six major collections (Bukhari, Muslim, Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud,
Nasa'i, Ibn Majah) with:

• No token gatekeeping
• No rate limit walls for reasonable use
• Arabic text + English translations
• Grading (sahih/hasan/daif) preserved
• Simple REST endpoints any developer can call in minutes

The words of the Prophet ﷺ should be the easiest data on the internet to access, not the hardest. If sunnah.com is willing to share
their verified database (option 1), we'll wrap it and host it for free. If not, we'll build from other verified sources.

We have created an waitlist for early access for the free to use api's, you can join too in https://sunnah.now. Once week 16 of 2026 is reached, early access will start rolling out and every brother will be able to make use of the api.
