I plan to use the Sunnah API in an automated content system that publishes daily Islamic reminders in Urdu on Facebook and Instagram.
The system will:
Select authentic hadith from Sahih al-Bukhari
Generate short, educational and reformative (islahi) Urdu content based strictly on Quran and authentic Sunnah
Share this content for public awareness and moral guidance
This project is non-commercial, purely educational, and intended as da‘wah and sadaqah-e-jariyah.
API rate limits:
Maximum requests per second:
1 request per second
Maximum requests per day:
50 requests per day
(The system will typically make only 1–2 requests per day.)
Is your use case better served by having an offline dump of hadith data or programmatic API access?
Programmatic API access is preferred, as the system dynamically selects and processes hadith for automated daily posting. However, an offline dump would also be acceptable if API access is limited.
