Why is it needed?

Feedback from Discord, we don't really have any documentation for working with compos/dzs

I'd be happy if you could provide additional information and/or submit a PR. Because, though I acknowledge the docs are lacking in this area, I don't have the knowledge to expand them on this topic at the moment.
