About My Work

I'm a Ruby committer from Taiwan, working on Shopify's Ruby Developer Experience team. I maintain core Ruby developer tools that developers interact with daily.

Recent Highlights

RDoc — I created Aliki, RDoc's new default theme shipped in v7.0.0, bringing dark mode, modern search, and mobile-friendly design to docs.ruby-lang.org. I'm currently improving RDoc's markdown parser and exploring LLM-ready documentation formats.

IRB — I'm the all-time top contributor to Ruby's interactive shell. Recent additions include the cd command, edit command, and extension APIs that Rails console now uses.

ZJIT — I was part of the team building Ruby's next-generation JIT compiler, contributed 80+ pull requests. I also wrote "How Ruby Executes JIT Code" to help developers understand JIT internals.

debug gem — #2 contributor with 400+ commits to Ruby's official debugger.
