'Rename Symbol' in Art editor does not rename all occurrences?

Hi,

it seems that 'Rename Symbol' does not always rename all occurrences.

E.g., when renaming a port (e.g., 'timingP:Timing'), some (all?) invocations of 'informIn' do not get updated.

I'm using Code RealTime version 3.2.0 on VS Code

This would require rename refactorings in the Art language to propagate down to a rename refactoring in C++. We need to investigate how to best implement it. It should be possible, using the C++ language server, to find the port references in all C++ code, and update those that are within user code snippets. Code-to-art synch should then make sure those changes propagate back to Art files. This must be done before Rename Symbol performs the rename refactoring at Art level, which will trigger automatic code generation (after which the references to the old port name cannot be found in C++ anymore).

Ok, thanks. Makes sense. Art programs can contain C++ code snippets, so two language servers need to be involved and integrated.

But, from my side at least, my initial impression was that 'Rename Symbol' would also cover the use of Art symbols in C++ code snippets. So, it might be good to let the user know somehow that this is currently not the case
