Force lights on not working

• If the current behavior is a bug, please provide the steps to reproduce
  ‘Force Lights On’ setting does not force lights on when enabled.

  • What is the current behavior?

If light was already off, light does not come on regardless of playback state.

• What is the expected behavior?

Light should turn on to dim setting when playing, undim when paused, and return to previous (off) when stopped.

I am sorry I have stopped using Kodi for a long time now and I don't have enough time to actively maintain this addon anymore. But I will keep the issue open in case anyone wants to make a pull request.
