Laggy video recording in dark environment

I know this might not be Snapmod related but it's driving me insane.
When I record videos with Snapchat/Instagram when it's dark, and I'm not focusing on a bright object, the video turn out horribly laggish. I'm currently using a Motorola Edge 30 Ultra and this has never happened to me before (OnePlus phones)
