That would be nice, but I'd prefer someone with Python experience to do it. Unfortunately, I don't have much time for my free software projects these days.

There are two ways how to do it:

1. Making the wrapper in PyBind: https://pybind11.readthedocs.io/en/stable/basics.html
2. Use the native Python C++ interface: https://docs.python.org/3/extending/extending.html
3. Write the Python class that uses ctypes. It can open existing .dll or .so library and use its calls and structures in Python. Easiest: https://docs.python.org/3/library/ctypes.html

The third option seems best to me. I'll try it when I have time.

Here is partial ctypes interface. I did not export all functions and registers yet. dll file must be in same directory, or system path. There is also possibility to detect *nix systems and load .so instead. And I still don't know, how to solve the endianess, when used on aarm64 for example.

Regarding endianness, how about this?:

BTW, it would be better to make a Python package with this wrapper. I could include it alongside the rest of the emulator, but how would users install it? They might install it in the wrong Python environment. It would be better to have a Python package installable via pip.
