weechat Doesn't Show Messages You Send from Other Clients

When sending from other clients, weechat does not display those messages. Unencrypted chats/rooms too.

As an example:

If I send to a room in fractal it will not be displayed in weechat.

The only way to verify weechat across clients is to use the old "text verification" method from something like schildichat. All of the clients are showing the weechat-matrix-rs session as being verified but weechat is showing all other sessions as unverified. Not sure if this is related. Something like gomuks (legacy) seems to work using this method.
