M5Stack TAB5 (esp32-p4) Power control and extended GPIO library

This is something I've been working on; a easy way of taking control of the Tab5's power management circuitry from vanilla MicroPython; without needing a special board build that embeds binary blobs to do this (eg the m5stack mpy 1.25 based UiFlow)

The README there has the full install and usage notes; plus a list of the (30!) methods it provides. This is deigned to be very simple in use; it is self-contained and lets you:

• Control power on/off for the WiFi chip, Speaker Amplifier, USB-A port and Expansion port 5V power.
• Switch WiFi between internal and external antennas
• Enable and disable battery charging, set the quick charge status, read the charge indicator pin.
• Read the battery voltage and current in/out.
• Detect if headphones are plugged in.
• Set LCD backlight brightness
• Trigger a poweroff event.
• Send reset signals to the LCD, TouchPanel and Camera modules.

Use it to create a power control object and set the device up as you need:

This library is relatively simple; with individual methods for each control. It is a wrapper around internal stripped down versions of the pi4ioe5v6408 driver I wrote, and the INA226 power monitor driver from the UiFlow repo (preconfigured for the tab5).

Slow reply since I'm buried in datasheets and family, but thankyou @Josverl for the links and reminder. I am just polishing off a couple more related drivers for chips on my Tab5. Once I have this set done I'll go on a mission to promote them at those sites and beyond.

Thank you so much for this. Will you be adding an Arduino library from this? Or is there a way to include this in an Arduino sketch? I do most of my development on the Tab 5 with the Arduino IDE.

Arduino supports 100% MicroPython,https://labs.arduino.cc/en/labs/micropython

But you cant call MicroPython code from your C/C++ .ino sketch
