Description of issue

BOINC has released already version 8.2.8 but brew only has 8.2.5 - is it going to be upgraded somewhen? Or is it fine to download it manually from BOINC and if somewhen homebrew will have 8.2.9 or greater, it will simply overwrite it?

The latest version is unable to be installed programmatically because the installer includes scripts that are not completing successfully.

You could help by notifying the developer that the pkg installer does not successfully install in a headless environment via command line.
