Add group member management to the group view #58824

I really enjoy using and administering Nextcloud (in a club context). I appreciate every improvement and am therefore eager for each new major version. Many thanks to all the developers for their work so far!

Unfortunately, a major drawback is the account management, or more specifically, the group management.

Creating groups is very easy, but managing group members is unfortunately very cumbersome.

While the group view conveniently lists members, it's impossible to remove them from the group or add new members. For both, you first have to go to the individual account view and activate or deactivate group membership for each user. This is not only time-consuming but also very confusing and therefore prone to errors.

Instead, I would prefer a button for removing members and a user selector (search field) for adding them – just like how it's done for sharing or file sharing. I don't think this would be particularly difficult, as all these elements already exist.

What would be desirable regarding groups in addition:

Not only accounts but also groups should be able to be added to a group to enable a hierarchical structure. I don't know if this is even possible with the current concept, but it would be a real help in administering/managing a Nextcloud instance.

If groups could also be managed by "group admins" (similar to team management), that would be almost perfect!

Regards, Yummiweb
