"Your" (?) online site backgroundremoverai.com gives too bad results?

Excuse me if I'm out of topic, I'm just a non developper average user, and I missed time to check things more...

I search for an open source solution to remove background of my images.
-Thinks like Gimp seem too heavy and too complicated for me.
-Local installation of one of the several softwares I saw on Github doesn't seem possible on my old laptop (maybe trying once even caused me a bug).
-Online services seem generally proprietary. But fortunalely I finally found https://www.backgroundremoverai.com/, which seems to use your software?

I first made tests on images of mine and some dark parts of the foreground object I want to keep become half-erased (because "dark", or simply because parts with a colour a bit close too of the background?). And in an image a separation in the object (after which the other part was a bit shadowed/darker) caused this part to be cut. (And the object is cut on another one too.)
So I made a test on one of the test pictures this site https://www.remove.bg/ gives (the woman on an electric scooter). This site removes well the background, but https://www.backgroundremoverai.com/ gives the same bad result as on my personnal pictures, contour is less good, I can bear it, but it makes also parts half-erased (on the botom of the scooter).

So is there something to do?
(Or so maybe even someone could indicate me another offline service with open source software that gives best results??)

OK thank you, I tried the 2nd model, which must be (o) Only Humans instead of the default ( ) Objects, Humans, or Things.

But result is much worse, that must be normal as I don't want to use it on humans/persons.

On my personal picture, wich is a CRT TV: almost all image have disappeared now.
2/
On the test picture of the site https://www.remove.bg/ (a woman on an electric scooter): hair has still an "ugly" contour, an now half of the scooter has disappeared (logical).

I have no technical knowledge, but I also thought about a possible reason for my bad results, that on my case there is not much background, and I imagine that maybe the more there is, the more the software can recognize it and separate background and foreground. (And also photo is taken closely.)
This being because I already cropped the original image before, in order to give maximum useful content (foreground) versus useless content (background) on the image to the site I want to post it (which limits the weight/ko for each image, so by removing the small remaining useless background the site will yet less compress the image I give). I lost the original so I cannot check now if more background gives a better result concerning the cutting of a part of the foreground object but maybe for better results removing background is best to do before cropping.
Yet I also suppose AI would "normally" be more able to recognize the wholeness/identity of an object (the back of a CRT TV in my case, and the top on another image) to not cut it.
But you have for sure a better idea about this.

Giving partial erasing/transparency of plain/solid objects is more surprising to me.
Hope new models will work well!
Maybe adding a possibility on this site or on sites like it to accept as good or to refuse or correct results could help improve it by training? (A bit like CAPTCHAs.) Even in natural langage "You wrongly erased the right part of my TV and made wrongly the bottom transparent, can you redo it without these mistakes?" Just a guess idk.

I just made another test on https://www.rembg.com/en/background-removal
Results were "half" very good.
The image of the back of the CRT TV was not cut and there was no transparent zones.
And on the image of the top of the CRT, in fact there is an electric wire layed down on it, so it has been considerered as the foreground image and only it has been kept, the wire. (Here then, I imagine that if I had not cropped the image first and then left more recognizable background it would have been OK.) Apart from that, no transparency added.

API tab of the page says MIT License / open source, using a priori https://github.com/danielgatis/rembg.
So it might work for me even with quantity limitations for free usage.

BUT!
Its Terms of Service page https://www.rembg.com/en/tos says:

2. Rights of use
   2.1. (...) Use for (direct or indirect) commercial purposes is excluded.

And well: my use is to post pictures on an eBay-like site in fact, for some objects I want to sell.
Maybe yet "commercial" means to buy or make/build something to sell it, and I didn't buy to sell or make/build stuff I want to sell, I got them totally free, or buyed it for my personnal use first... So maybe it's OK finally, maybe I will even go and ask the dev with one more noob question...

May I ask then too, you don't have this restriction?
On "your" Terms of Service page https://www.backgroundremoverai.com/terms/ there is:

   ii. use the materials for any commercial purpose, or for any public display (commercial or non-commercial);

But it concerns only the software/code in itself?

For better results with the CLI tool, try:

1. Alpha matting: backgroundremover -i image.jpg -a -ae 15 -o output.png
2. Mask threshold (new in v0.4.0): backgroundremover -i image.jpg -mt 128 -o output.png
3. For non-human subjects, stick with the default u2net model

The online site quality depends on server-side settings. The CLI gives you more control over parameters.
