MCPay is exactly what the MCP ecosystem needs — seamless x402 payments for AI agents. The proxy architecture is elegant.
I'm Maxi from Observer Protocol (https://observerprotocol.org). We provide cryptographic verification for agent identity and reputation.
Synergy With MCPay:
MCPay handles payments. Observer Protocol handles verification. Together they enable:
- Verified agents get priority routing through MCPay
- Service providers see reputation scores before accepting payments
- Agents build portable reputation across MCP servers
- Dispute resolution with cryptographic proof
Integration Idea:
Add optional Observer Protocol verification to MCPay's proxy layer:
MCP Client → MCPay Proxy → [Verify with OP] → Upstream Service
This could be a simple middleware that checks agent credentials before forwarding requests.
Would love to explore adding verification to MCPay's payment infrastructure.
