Hello,

This is such great project! While checking out all of the available Office install options on your website, then installing MS365 and having Publisher tell me that it won't even be able to be used come October 2026, I'm wondering what the most recent version of Publisher is that won't have a stake driven through its heart. Anybody know?

Just to add another tidbit of info to this thread; After more experimenting, I've discovered that Office LTSC 2021's Publisher doesn't report that it's going to be retired either. So that's 2 versions newer than 2016. 👍

But the whole suite won't completely stop working like the v16 based C2R Publishers seem to be going to, right? I guess I'm still struggling to wrap my head around how to have the latest version and features of everything (Publisher, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio). At first, I figured I had to install the 2016 version during your "After that, use the YAOCTRI method to install Office C2R 16.0." step (which now has the online content option not even available, I assume because it's no longer supported as of early last week). But then I remembered that all the recent versions are v16 based, so I started over (thanks to VMs!) and selected Microsoft 365 and that worked just fine too (and I realized I actually can have 2 Publishers ..for now anyway. heh).

So what activation method should I use? Does it matter? I see different things. Using Ohook makes Publisher 2016 report Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2016 is activated. The C2R apps report the same thing, plus they also report Subscription Product Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise. Do they have the latest features? On the other hand, if I use Online KMS, Publisher 2016 reports Microsoft Office Mondo 2016 is activated. The C2R apps also report the same, plus Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2016 is activated, but also Couldn't Verify Subscription for Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise. Is that a bad thing? Does it cripple them? Also, I was playing with different Office installers and one of them reported that the Mondo 2016 apps have the latest features..? Edit: Wait, that's yours that says that. Heh So that's the best one to use?
