Preview opens only once for fixed type files

In my workflow, I switch back and forth between different types of files.
For Markdown and AsciiDoc I like to have a preview while for others I need more space and close the preview from the previously opened Markdown / AsciiDoc file.
Closing the preview leads to the situation where the preview does not get opened the next time I open a Markdown / AsciiDoc file.

The LICENSE file seems to be an exception as it will always trigger the preview to be re-opened.

This test repo contains multiple file types such Markdown, AsciiDoc, JSON to mimic a repo where one would switch between the different file types.

I'd like to be able to configure the preview to be always re-opened.
